Classes Coming Up

Just wanted to give you all a heads up on the classes I will be teaching in the next few months at the Village Knitter’s. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

KNITTING YOUR FIRST BASIC SWEATER

$120; 6 classes, 2 hours each

Saturdays, March 6, 20, April 3, 17, May 1 & 15; 4 – 6 pm;

Prerequisite skill level: Beginner to intermediate

Knit your first sweater in the round, Bottom Up!

Materials: contact me about yarn and needles needed for project, stitch-markers & The Sweater Workshop by Jackie Fee.

THE DES MARAIS SHAWL

$40; 2 classes, 2 hours each

Wednesdays, May 12 & 26; 6 – 8 pm;

Prerequisite skill level: Beginner to intermediate

Slightly lacy, triangular shawl knit from point to shoulders.

Materials: 500 yards of worsted weight yarn, US size 9 24” circular needle & Des Marais Shawl pattern.

GETTING BACK ON TRACK – READING STITCHES & FIXING MISTAKES

$40; 2 classes, 2 hours each

Saturdays, March 13 & 27; 4 – 6 pm;

Wednesdays, April 21 & 28; 6 – 8 pm;

Prerequisite skill level: Beginner to intermediate

Learn more about reading your stitches and fixing mistakes.

Materials: Book recommended – Knit Fix.

KNITTING YOUR SWEATER FROM THE TOP DOWN

$100; 5 classes, 2 hours each

Sundays, April 18, May 2, 16, 30 & June 13; 10 am – 12 pm;

Wednesdays, May 5, 19, June 2, 16, & 30; 6 – 8 pm;

Prerequisite skill level: Beginner to intermediate

Knit your first Top Down sweater!

Materials: Book required – Custom Knits by Wendy Bernard and recommended – knitting From The Top by Barbara Walker.
