Hats, Hats, and More Hats Class – Week 1

Greetings,

Well, we are all working on the Side Slip Cloche from the book Boutique Knits! It’s chock-full of new knitting techniques and at the end you will all have a gorgeous hat to wear!

Seen here  Ravelry: Side slip cloche pattern by Laura Irwin Again, have fun looking at the variety of fibers people have knit this hat pattern up in.

This week we are knitting the large ruffle and the small ruffle. You can stop there (but please knit on if it suits you!) and in week 2 of class you will join the ruffles together with a SET UP that is similar to a 3 needle bind-off. See below for video demonstrating this technique.
